I am a graduate of  The University of Illinois at Chicago Physical Therapy.  I started my career in outpatient and inpatient rehab, head injury, and wound care.  I started full time pediatrics in the summer of 1995.  I have been serving the students at Lighted Way for over 20 years.

Best Ever No-Cook Play Dough Recipe

Mix together all the dry ingredients in a large bowl. Add the boiling water and mix together with a large spoon until the mixture is cool enough to handle. Then knead and further mix together with your hands.

You can add scents like peppermint, coconut, and cinnamon. The jello adds color and scent, but beware it may color your hands as well. Experiment adn find the "best color and scent" for you and your child... If you are really brave, add glitter for some pizzaz and sparkle! (But only if your child will not taste the dough).

Store in plastic bags. Enjoy!

Other Snow Day Activities:

SNOW BALL FIGHT - Use old newspaper, magazines, paper, etc. Wad them up  into snowballs and throw!

SNOW FORT - Put blankets or towels over chairs and crawl under or through

REAL SNOW - Bring in a bucket of snow, put on some gloves/mittens and play in it on a plastic table cloth or in a plastic container. Build a mini-snowman

Best yet---GO OUT and ENJOY THE SNOW if you can! Try snow angels, building a snowman, throwing snow balls, walking in the snow, and ENJOY!
