Academy of Saint Carlo Acutis

The P.A.L.S. (Personal Assistants to Lighted Way Students) program is a unique partnership between Lighted Way and the students of Academy of Saint Carlo Acutis. Throughout the school year, 8th-grade students visit Lighted Way each month to spend time with our students, participate in activities, and build meaningful friendships.

Through these interactions, P.A.L.S. promotes understanding, inclusion, and the development of empathy and leadership skills. Students learn the value of acceptance and discover the many abilities, talents, and strengths of their peers.

The program culminates each spring with a combined Field Day celebration, where students from both schools come together to enjoy games, activities, and fellowship while celebrating the friendships and memories they have created throughout the year.

P.A.L.S. is a wonderful example of how relationships can foster compassion, respect, and a stronger sense of community for everyone involved.
